We need YOU this summer!

Loaves and Fishes of Sabattus is looking for 2 temporary volunteers to help with our food pantry from late July through August.

Volunteer shifts:
Mondays — 7:00–11:00 AM
Tuesdays — 7:00–10:30 AM
Wednesdays — 7:00–10:30 AM

You don't need to be available all three days — every shift helps!

Can you drive a box truck? We especially need volunteers who can help with food pickup and delivery runs. Please mention it when you reach out!

No experience needed — just a willingness to show up and serve your neighbors.

Our Food Pantry is open to residents in our service area: Sabattus, Litchfield, Wales, Greene, Turner, Lisbon, Lisbon Falls, and Monmouth.

Tuesdays 09:00 - 10:00
Wednesdays: 09:00 - 10:00

Hidden Treasures

Hidden Treasures is our thrift store where those needing assistance with clothing, furniture, and small home goods can find help.

Located at 850 Lisbon Street in Lewiston, Maine. The thrift store is open
Monday through Fridays
09:00 - 02:00.

Assistance

We are pleased to be able to provide limited utility/rental assistance to those in need.

Why Sabattus, Maine?

In 1997 Loaves and Fishes was founded by Sister Lucille and her fellow Sisters -
members of the Dominican Sisters of the Roman Congregation.

Since 1904 the Dominican Sisters have called Sabattus their home. In those years they have volunteered, taught, and sought to provide emergency assistance to those in need.
To this day they continue in supporting their community by sponsoring, providing oversight, and steering our organization.
